ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Oversee multiple warehouse departments; receiving, shipping, warehouse and maintenance operations
- Excellent leadership skills including ability to set goals and motivate.
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Good project management skills, including decision –making, problem solving and strategic planning abilities
- Manage and enforce warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and goals.
- Continuously look for improvements to operations.
- Ensure efficient space utilization.
- Maintain standards cleanliness and security
- Plan work, assign tasks appropriately and evaluate results.
- Select, place, train, coach and motivate employees
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of work provided
- Working with various departments to realize effectiveness and manage expectations
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Minimum 5 years previous warehouse manager experience
- Knowledge in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work in outdoor elements
