The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including inventory control, receiving, storage, and distribution to retail store locations. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
This position plays a critical role in supporting multi-store operations by coordinating deliveries, managing staff, and ensuring all inventory movements align with company purchasing and accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities (receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping)
  • Ensure all outgoing deliveries to stores are accurate and on schedule
  • Maintain strict organization of all inventory areas (by category, SKU, and location)
  • Implement and enforce warehouse SOPs and workflow processes
Inventory Control

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy (target 99.5%)
  • Coordinate cycle counts and full inventory audits
  • Ensure all inventory movements are supported by approved Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Prevent and report any discrepancies, damages, or losses
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Accounting for reconciliation
Logistics & Distribution

  • Plan and coordinate daily delivery routes for drivers
  • Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures
  • Track intercompany transfers between warehouse and stores
  • Confirm deliveries are received and signed by stores in real time
Team Leadership

  • Supervise warehouse staff (associates, drivers, helpers)
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity
  • Train employees on safety, procedures, and performance standards
  • Enforce discipline, attendance, and accountability
Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free warehouse environment
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and proper equipment usage
  • Monitor proper handling of alcohol products (breakage, storage conditions)
  • Enforce security procedures (cameras, access control, alarms)
Systems & Reporting

  • Use inventory systems (Lightspeed or similar) to track all movements
  • Generate daily/weekly reports:
    • Inventory discrepancies
    • Delivery performance
    • Warehouse productivity
  • Coordinate with management on KPIs and operational improvements
Qualifications

  • 35+ years of warehouse management experience (preferably in beverage/liquor distribution)
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems and logistics operations
  • Experience managing teams (515+ employees)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Work Schedule

  • Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Full-time, extended hours based on operational needs
