POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, material handling, and stockroom activities. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials while maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy, operational performance, and customer service.

This individual will lead warehouse personnel, establish best practices, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Operations

  • Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material handling, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Manage warehouse workflows to meet customer delivery requirements and operational objectives.
  • Develop and implement processes that improve efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Monitor warehouse capacity and optimize storage utilization.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve shipping and delivery issues.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation and receiving records are accurate and completed on time.
  • Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory control procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes.
  • Ensure proper inventory transactions within ERP/WMS systems.
  • Lead annual physical inventory activities.

Material Handling & Stockroom Management

  • Ensure efficient movement and storage of materials throughout the facility.
  • Establish inventory organization standards and maintain clean, orderly stockroom operations.
  • Coordinate replenishment activities to support production and customer requirements.
  • Manage warehouse equipment and material handling resources.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop staffing plans to support operational requirements.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead safety improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and corrective action reviews.
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards and company procedures.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze warehouse metrics and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve inventory accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Support strategic supply chain and operational improvement projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
  • Experience using ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • APICS/ASCM, CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of warehouse safety standards.
  • Experience with barcode scanning and inventory control technologies.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position is primarily on-site and is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments, with frequent presence on the shop floor. The role requires regular cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, People and Culture, and Leadership teams. 

The manufacturing environment may involve exposure to varying noise levels, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of a production facility. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas. 

While performing the essential functions of this role, the employee may be required to sit, stand, lift up to 50lbs, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems. The position may require occasional lifting and movement of materials consistent with job responsibilities. 


The role includes occasional presentation and communication responsibilities to executive leadership, including participation in quarterly business reviews. The employee must be able to communicate effectively and observe conditions necessary to perform essential job functions.
