Transports material in the most productive, efficient, accurate, and safe manner with due concern for product quality and condition.

This position is available on third shift working Monday through Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am. Weekend and daily overtime as required.

Rate of pay: $23.08/hr plus $0.55/hr shift differential

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk to personnel and damage to inventory and equipment.
  • Use equipment to move materials within the plant.
  • Replenish pick slots.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all company and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Load finished product and custom orders onto trailers in the correct sequence and according to loading requirements, while ensuring an accurate piece count.
  • Operate a wrapping machine to wrap finished orders.
  • Adhere to lockout-tagout procedures.
  • Place proper documentation on pallets.
  • Read the truck schedule and follow instructions to determine which materials or trucks to be moved.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Work as a member of the warehouse team by communicating information to coworkers on time to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
  • Perform daily inspection checks on forklifts.
  • Complete accurate inventory transactions promptly, to reflect material movement and inventory status.
  • Operate dock plates and dock locks following company procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the warehouse, daily.
  • Identify problems with equipment, product quality, conveyor system, etc., and take corrective action.
  • Use care when loading and stacking pallets on trailers to ensure that the product arrives at the customer damage-free.
  • Use dunnage bags, load bars, and load straps, as needed.
  • Complete HACCP outbound trailer inspection and report any deficiencies to the supervisor immediately.
  • Turn completed paperwork in daily.
  • Assist in the training of new Warehouse Workers and ongoing training of current employees, as requested.
  • Assist in recouping damaged finished products and transport damaged products to recoup pallets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
