Job description

The Suit Store Group LLC is searching for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Associate to join our team at our Distribution Center in Hackensack NJ. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory within an assigned department, handling incoming and outgoing deliveries, scanning and counting merchandise, and keeping inventory organized and properly recorded in our systems.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with numbers and technology, can handle physical warehouse responsibilities, and takes ownership of keeping their department accurate and organized.

Responsibilities
  • Count and maintain accurate inventory within your assigned department

  • Scan incoming, outgoing, and transferred merchandise

  • Receive and handle incoming deliveries and shipments

  • Prepare, organize, and handle outgoing deliveries and shipments

  • Load and unload merchandise as needed

  • Verify incoming merchandise against packing slips, purchase orders, and inventory records

  • Verify outgoing merchandise and transfers for accuracy before they leave the warehouse

  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts

  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies

  • Keep inventory properly organized by style, color, and size

  • Maintain accurate inventory information within our inventory/POS system

  • Learn and use Teamwork Commerce and any other inventory or technology platforms used by the company

  • Process inventory transfers between warehouse and store locations

  • Ensure merchandise is properly labeled, scanned, and stored

  • Assist with receiving, stocking, replenishment, picking, and order preparation as needed

  • Keep assigned warehouse areas clean, organized, and easy to count

  • Communicate inventory shortages, overages, damages, or discrepancies to management

  • Take ownership of inventory accuracy within your assigned department

  • Assist with company-wide inventory counts when required

Qualifications
  • Must be comfortable with basic math and accurately counting merchandise

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must be able to safely handle incoming and outgoing deliveries

  • Comfortable using scanners, computers, tablets, and inventory software

  • Ability and willingness to learn Teamwork Commerce and other company systems

  • Organized and capable of managing inventory independently within an assigned department

  • Dependable, punctual, and responsible

  • Able to follow inventory and warehouse procedures consistently

  • Previous warehouse, inventory, stockroom, retail, shipping/receiving, or distribution experience preferred

  • Apparel inventory experience is a plus

  • Valid driver's license preferred, but not required

  • Must be able to carry 50lbs 

Schedule
  • Approximately 30 hours per week | Part-time position

  • Schedule includes weekdays, may include Saturdays, may include holidays as per business hours
