Job description

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Pay Rate: $21 per hour plus shift differential

Position Summary

The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for maintaining accurate product placement within the warehouse and supporting production by putting away materials for forklift drivers that deliver to manufacturing lines. This role ensures inventory is stored in the correct locations, materials are available when needed, and warehouse flow supports safe and efficient production operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and place finished goods, raw materials, and components in designated warehouse locations.
  • Ensure all products are labeled correctly and stored according to warehouse layout and inventory standards.
  • Maintain clear, organized staging areas to prevent congestion or delays.
  • Verify product counts and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervision.
  • Support FIFO (First In, First Out) and inventory rotation requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with forklift drivers, line leads, and supervisors to support production needs.
  • Perform basic inventory checks and assist with cycle counts as required.
  • Keep work areas clean and compliant with safety and housekeeping standards (5S).
  • Follow all safety and TPM guidelines, warehouse procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned as needed based on business demands.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience required- minimum of 6 months preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read pick sheets, labels, and basic inventory documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including overtime as needed.
  • Experience working on and around forklifts or material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse inventory systems or WMS.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing lines and material staging required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Warehouse and manufacturing floor environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and getting on/off forklift.
  • Regular lifting, pushing, or pulling of materials, and sometimes carrying up to 50 lbs. and over with assistance.
  • Exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, and production areas
  • Frequent on and/off lift.
  • Mildly controlled environment - can expect cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. High core dust environment.
