Job description

Renewal by Andersen is the custom division of Andersen Windows. Founded in 1903, Andersen Windows has been the world's largest and most recognized brand for exclusive window and door systems. Renewal by Andersen was founded with the objective of creating a different and better window and door replacement experience for homeowners.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & Organization

  • Create and Maintain a comprehensive and real-time inventory system for all materials and products across both the Hayward and Fairfield warehouse locations.
  • Establish and uphold minimum on-hand supply thresholds for all warehouse, installation, and service products; proactively identify and address shortages before they impact operations.
  • Conduct and support company monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts and audits for all assets at both locations; reconcile discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain organized, clearly labeled, and efficient storage systems that support quick and accurate material retrieval at both warehouse sites.
  • Ensure consistent organization standards are maintained across both locations, including product placement, labeling, and storage protocols.
  • Manage and oversee all product discarding processes, including the evaluation, documentation, and proper disposal or return of obsolete, damaged, or excess materials in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage sample and display inventory in addition to operational stock, including tracking condition, quantity, and replenishment needs for all sample, display, and marketing materials across the company

Procurement, Receiving & Vendor Management

  • Source, negotiate, and maintain vendor relationships to secure the highest quality materials at the most competitive pricing.
  • Evaluate and qualify new vendors and suppliers; continuously benchmark the market to identify cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Process and manage purchase orders for all supply categories, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
  • Oversee the receiving and verification of all incoming shipments against purchase orders; identify and resolve discrepancies, shortages, or quality issues promptly.
  • Manage return merchandise authorization (RMA) and vendor return processes for defective, incorrect, or surplus materials.
  • Leverage construction and building material procurement expertise to identify and source specialty materials, installation supplies, and non-standard product needs.
  • Resolve vendor issues including delivery discrepancies, quality defects, and billing disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Support

  • Work closely with the Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager as the primary operational partner for all supply and inventory-related matters.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Installation, Service, and Sales teams to understand current and forecasted material needs across all business lines.
  • Identify consumption trends and seasonal patterns to proactively adjust ordering strategies and prevent supply gaps or overstock conditions.
  • Serve as the operational link between the warehouse and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all product pull-through needs are met efficiently and on time.
  • Support all supply categories including, but not limited to: installation hardware, service parts, tools, sample windows and doors, marketing collateral, and general operational consumables.
  • Provide regular inventory reporting and cost analysis to leadership; surface trends, risks, and opportunities for improved supply chain efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs for all procurement and inventory management processes.
  • Track and monitor procurement spend; flag budget variances and cost concerns to the Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
  • Evaluate and recommend inventory management tools, systems, or process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency across both locations.

Facility, Safety & Team Support

  • Actively participate as a member of the warehouse team, supporting day-to-day warehouse operations and contributing to a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Regularly travel between the Hayward and Fairfield warehouse locations to fulfill inventory, supply, and procurement responsibilities at both sites.
  • Support facility maintenance needs at both physical locations, including identifying maintenance issues, coordinating with appropriate vendors or facilities contacts, and following up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support company safety initiatives and inspections, contributing to a safe and compliant working environment at both locations.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting facility or safety concerns to the Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of procedures for proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Perform any and all other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; no college degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or procurement roles.
  • Experience in construction, building materials, or related product procurement is required.
  • Warehousing and/or distribution experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors and manage multi-vendor relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and tools; experience with ERP or WMS platforms a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data, identify trends, and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities across two locations simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Must be willing and able to regularly travel between the Hayward and Fairfield locations; reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; regular bending, reaching, and standing required during site visits, receiving, and inventory counts.
  • This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
  • The position requires regular, predictable, and on-site attendance across both locations.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and internal systems used for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
  • Licensed California driver with access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
Compensation & Benefits:
