We are searching for an Inventory Control Specialist for a company in Tampa, FL.

This is a 1st shift position from 7:00am-5:00pm (Could vary a little in start time)


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate counts of inventory
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies/shortages/receiving errors
  • cycle counts, reconile discrepancies
  • Use ERP System to update inventory
  • Assist management during annual inventory prep./physical inventory
  • Maintain log for inventory discrepancies and adjustments
  • You will be in the warehouse w/ equipment and overhead cranes.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to measure and use scale for weighing product
  • Know how to provide product dimensions
  • Be on time and at work every day
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Exp. in a metal or steel center/warehouse
  • Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures and verify tolerances
  • Familiarity w/carbon, alloy, stainless and structural steel
  • Understanding of grades, gauges, lengthes & steel terminology
  • able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Microsoft excel experience
  • Forklift/overhead crane operation
