Position Overview

A growing third-party logistics (3PL) organization is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counting, reconciliation, and system integrity within a high-volume warehouse environment.

This role partners closely with operations leadership to ensure inventory accuracy, customer compliance, and on-time fulfillment performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and experienced in leading inventory control teams in a warehouse setting.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Lead daily cycle count program and annual physical inventories
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis
  • Maintain system and physical inventory alignment within WMS
  • Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure SKU integrity, bin accuracy, and location control
  • Support customer audits and compliance reporting

Reporting & Data Management

  • Track and report on shrink, variance trends, and accuracy KPIs
  • Generate Excel-based reports and WMS dashboards
  • Analyze transactional data to identify process gaps

Operational Collaboration

  • Partner with Receiving and Shipping teams to ensure accurate inventory movement
  • Review pick tickets, bills of lading, and replenishment tasks for accuracy
  • Communicate with carriers and internal departments regarding inventory-related issues

Leadership & Safety

  • Supervise inventory control associates
  • Train team members on proper counting procedures and system usage
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe use of material handling equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized inventory zones
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of inventory control or warehouse supervisory experience
  • Strong background in cycle counting and reconciliation
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a 3PL, distribution, or manufacturing warehouse environment preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
