Job description

Your Opportunity as an ICQA Supervisor
The Inventory Control Quality Assurance Supervisor will play a vital role in overseeing the management and accuracy of our inventory. Key responsibilities include monitoring stock levels and ensuring proper storage practices to align with established quality standards. This position will also involve developing and implementing effective inventory control procedures and quality assurance protocols. Additionally, the ICQA Supervisor will conduct regular audits, monitor shelf-life requirements, and supervise a team dedicated to inventory control and quality assurance. Ensuring compliance with product specifications, industry guidelines such as GMPs, and regulatory demands will be critical to success in this role. The supervisor will need to identify and address any quality issues proactively and conduct investigations to determine root causes, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Furthermore, collaboration with other departments will be essential to ensure accurate inventory data and prompt product delivery.
Location: 30800 W. 207th Street, Edgerton, KS 66021 (Hostess Distribution Center)
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site. Split Shift: approximately 12pm-10pm Tuesday-Friday. Flexibility required. Willingness to work off shift (including nights, weekends, and/or holidays) and flow to the work as needed
In this Role You Will:
  • Manage all inventory and quality functions.
  • Manage inventory control team members - conduct onboarding, training, performance feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Perform inventory audits.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards to meet evolving industry quality requirements.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy goal attainment.
  • Possess overall accountability for warehouse inventory and quality reports.
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional team members and related staff groups.
  • Resolve problems and conflicts directly with supervisors and peers.
  • Consult with managers, supervisors and peers in providing solutions that directly impact company commitments to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal and external parties on matters relating to inventory and quality.
  • Commit to operate as an impetus for change - be proactive and supportive specifically in matters related to improving and optimizing changes.
  • Maximize the performance of the site warehouse management system.
  • Recognize/develop opportunities for employee growth.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices and following safety practices.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and teamwork in meeting goals and objectives.
  • Commitment to process excellence by ensuring proper, efficient and accurate use of the process.
  • Communicates well with leadership, team members and other departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We are Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years' experience in comprehensive supply chain management,
  • 2+ years of experience in management of inventory within distributions logistics preferably in a 24x7x365 environment.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, and analytical skills; able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, warehouse management systems, database systems.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, set and manage priorities based on business requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal) to perform job-related duties.

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
  • 3+ years' of leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in BlueYonder, Oracle and IMI systems is a plus.
  • Food distribution experience

Work Environment: This job operates in a distribution/warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment sites can be high.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • May push and pull heavy objects.
