Job description

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The purpose of the Team Lead Inventory Control position is to assist the Inventory Control Supervisor.

• Assigns, directs, and monitors the work of the returns crew in their process of unloading trucks, putting products in stock and other related work.

• Supervise inventory control process to ensure product is available and adequate for product resale.

• Produce and analyze product reports and perform other administrative duties to optimize operational efficiency.

• Assist Inventory Control Supervisor with duties as needed.

• Ensure Inventory Control Associates perform assigned duties.

• Provide feedback to Inventory Control Supervisor as needed.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum one year of warehouse experience required

• Minimum one year of leadership experience preferred

• Food service industry experience preferred

• Knowledge of FDA and USDA guidelines

• Microsoft Office experience a must, including Word, Excel and Outlook

• Data entry (10-key by touch) skills required

• Knowledge of warehouse RF system and using an RF scanner

• Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications

• Exceptional communication skills

• Professional phone-etiquette skills

• Self-starter with ability to multi-task

• Excellent organization skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment

• Customer-focused

• Strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

• Able to read product lists and packages

• Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend

• Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.

• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs
