Position Summary

IWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and supporting supply chain management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), material requirements planning (MRP), and a strong understanding of inventory processes 

What You'll Do

  • Monitor sales and inventory levels of selected SKUs updating forecasts.
  • Review of sales forecasts: compare results and update as appropriate.
  • Work with the Purchasing Dept to place stocking orders, re-orders and special orders with specific vendors as well as prepare and dispatch purchase orders.
  • Confer with vendor contacts to obtain favorable and timely deliveries as well as the best possible pricing.
  • Update computer with timely and valid information when necessary.
  • Periodically meet with and exchange information with the merchandisers sharing the same vendor responsibilities.
  • Support and respond to the various departments within the organization who may need information regarding vendors, products, deliveries, etc.
  • Check all invoice discrepancies involving vendors in your area of responsibility. Correct and approve and return to accounting in a timely manner.
  • Assist with resolving vendor disputes.
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and material requirements planning (MRP).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Forklift certification is a plus; ability to operate forklifts safely is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members. 

Preferred

  • Proficiency in using Power BI or similar data analysis tools is preferred.

Target Compensation Range: The posted pay range of $16.00 - $18.00 represents the anticipated hiring range for this position. Individual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, internal compensation practices, and other job-related business considerations, consistent with applicable law.
