Job description

Position Summary

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of workers engaged in material movement, handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining warehouse stock.
Essential Job Functions

•Enforce operational procedures related to verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling, disposition of materials, and maintaining current warehouse inventory.

•Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing; direct day to day warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.

•Inspect physical conditions of the warehouse and equipment; prepare work orders for repairs and requisition replacement of equipment.

•Review work processes and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product or service quality; suggest changes to working conditions to increase efficiency; maintain accurate records and prepare required documentation.

•Assist employees, vendors, and customers by answering questions related to production processes, procedures, and services; mentor and train team members; handle general employee inquiries; resolve problems; conduct performance evaluations for warehouse staff.

•Ensure completion and accuracy of reporting on warehouse activities and productivity, including timesheets, yields, pounds per man hour, and reduction of downtime.

•Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

•High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

•Four years of warehouse experience.

•Two years of leadership experience.
