Inventory Specialist

This is an on-site role based in Whiteland, IN

Working Hours: Multiple Shifts (1st and 2nd)

Summary

Supports inventory accuracy through reconciliation, research, and root cause analysis. Supports operational accountability by identifying, escalating, and tracking inventory variances and user-driven discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed research and reconciliation of inventory variances across system and physical inventory
  • Analyze discrepancies and identify root causes, including user-specific errors and process gaps
  • Escalate and report user-driven variances to operations leadership for accountability and corrective action
  • Participate in second counts and supervisory counts when initial counts identify discrepancies
  • Validate and audit inventory transactions to ensure system integrity
  • Support cycle count program effectiveness through analysis and feedback
  • Utilize WMS and reporting tools to monitor inventory trends and anomalies
  • Develop and maintain reports to track variances, adjustments, and recurring issues
  • Partner with operations to implement corrective actions and improve inventory processes
  • Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and audit requirements

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of inventory control or warehouse experience
  • Strong understanding of inventory processes and warehouse operations
  • Experience performing reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, filtering, and basic data analysis
  • Experience working with WMS and inventory reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and drive accountability with operations teams
  • Experience Operating electric pallet jack, dock stocker, cherry picker preferred
  • Regular business hours with flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
