Job description

Overview

Egan Company is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Warehouse Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safely operating commercial vehicles. The role will be from our Kasson, MN fabrication shop and customer job sites. This individual will also have experience in a fast-paced warehouse construction environment.

Responsibilities

The basic responsibilities of the Warehouse Driver include but are not limited to the following:

  • Start the day in Kasson, MN prefabrication shop.
  • Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including flatbed trucks, dock trucks trailers, and other equipment haulers, in compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations.
  • Securely load, transport, and unload heavy construction and industrial equipment.
    • This includes proper chaining, strapping, and flagging of oversized loads.
  • Assist with general warehouse operations including:
    • Loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete and maintain accurate driver logs, pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports, and other required paperwork.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols in the warehouse and on the road.
  • Conduct routine safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate fork lift as required.
  • Secure loads as require on trucks.
  • Work in the warehouse as directed.
  • Maintain driving credentials and Class A Commercial Driver License.
  • Perform duties consistent with Egan Company’s foals and mission statements.
  • Maintain professionalism with co-workers, customers, sub-contractors, vendors, project managers, office, and field staff.
  • Work in a team environment with other warehouse workers to accomplish tasks at hand.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
  • Specific class requirement will depend on the vehicles to be operated.
  • Minimum of five years of experience driving a truck over 10,000 GVW.
  • Ability to drive and certified to operate a forklift.
  • A clean driving record is essential.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience operating commercial vehicles and hauling equipment is required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting is highly preferred.
  • The ability to regularly lift and move objects up to 50-75 pounds is required.
  • The role is physically demanding and requires the ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement techniques, and safe operating procedures is mandatory.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills are also essential.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions
  • Performance of duties in the warehouse. Approximately 20% of the time, in the Kasson, MN facility.
  • Performance of duties outside of the warehouse. Approximately 80% of the time driving in MN.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
