Ferguson is currently seeking a Shipping Manager to join our Appleton, WI warehouse!

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 9+ warehouse associates working a 1st shift schedule beginning at 7:30AM

  • Responsible to assist drivers loading trucks for 1st and 2nd runs potentially in temperamental elements

  • Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly

  • Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training, and providing professional development for all of its associates

  • Supervise, coordinate, and participate in unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork

  • Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to branch management

  • Responsible for assisting warehouse associates with picking process

  • Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs

Qualifications:

  • A strong background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required

  • 2+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience

  • Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations

  • Warehouse Management Systems, Highjump, Dispatch Track software experience preferred but willing to teach the right candidate

  • Proficient with all Microsoft Applications required

  • A strong attention to detail, leadership and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines

  • Phenomenal communication skills and the ability and desire to manage a team
