Job description

Overview

Steinhafels Furniture is currently seeking seasonal help at our New Berlin, WI bedding factory. Training will be provided to learn how to safely operate the equipment and perform the functions of the position.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Observes all department and company safety rules
  • Reads production reports to determine the correct type and configuration of materials needed for daily production
  • Achieves required daily production goals and completes daily production sheet  
  • Helps load and unload trucks
  • Continuously monitors production quality watching for quality issues
  • Reads production reports to set machine output dimensions
  • Contacts maintenance for machine problems outside operator's capability to correct
  • Maintains a clean work area and completes daily area clean-up tasks at end of shift
Qualifications

This position requires accuracy and organization skills and attention to detail to be successful. A strong candidate will have good communication skills and work well in a fast paced, team atmosphere. This position requires frequent lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling. Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
