JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a full-time Project/Warehouse Supervisor for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), providing support for worldwide storage and distribution services in both peacetime and war to create a complex adaptive environment where support personnel may be required to supplement military and federal employees.

Place of Performance: DLA Distribution, Albany, GA (DDAG).
Hours of Operation: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, five days per week, Monday through Friday, except observed Federal holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Project/Warehouse Manager to serve as the on-site leader for a large-scale warehousing and distribution operations contract supporting DLA Distribution Albany, Georgia (DDAG). The Project/Warehouse Manager is the company's primary on-site point of contact for Government representatives and is responsible for the overall planning, control, management, and successful completion of all contract work for the duration of the contract.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Serve as the contractor's on-site point of contact (POC) for Government representatives for the duration of the contract.
  • Provide overall supervision of all contractor employees across receiving, storage, issue, packing, and distribution functions.
  • Plan and manage the contract professionally; schedule work to obtain maximum use of resources and minimize overtime.
  • Adjust staffing and employee work schedules to meet customer requirements across multiple shifts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting; apply cost-savings factors and quality controls so work is performed as scheduled at a fair and reasonable cost.
  • Champion risk management and internal controls to combat fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement in a controls-based audit environment.
  • Ensure execution of the Quality Control Plan (QCP), performance reporting, and corrective action processes; ensure end-to-end inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure supervisors and employees are trained to perform job tasks completely, accurately, and on time.
  • Warehouse/distribution environment; standard and potential off-shift coordination to support 1st and 3rd shift operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience using DLA's Warehouse Management System (WMS) or an equivalent Warehouse Management System within the past five (5) years (required).
  • Demonstrated experience planning, controlling, and managing warehouse/distribution operations and supervising a multi-shift workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control, cost control, scheduling, and performance management in a labor-hour/FFP services environment.
  • Proficient in reading and communicating effectively in English; basic math and personal computer skills.
  • Willingness to provide a resume (not to exceed 3 pages) and a Letter of Intent for inclusion in a federal proposal.
  • On-site position at a secure DoD installation; must be able to obtain and maintain installation access (background/security checks apply) and a Common Access Card (CAC) as required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment controlled substance screening per company policy.
