Job description

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
$20.50/HR | 4-DAY WORK WEEK | WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS REQUIRED Pay Transparency

Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour, consistent with our internal compensation framework.

Position Overview

The Warehouse Associate plays an important role in supporting daily warehouse operations by accurately picking product, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and helping ensure the warehouse runs efficiently. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and teamwork. This role may also support yard movement activities and truck readiness as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately pick product, minimize damage, and place items correctly in totes.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including immediate spill cleanup.

  • Keep temperature-controlled areas closed to protect product quality.

  • Complete required monthly training sessions.

  • Handle product carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper pricing and date coding.

  • Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.

  • Assist with unloading trucks and organizing the warehouse.

  • Safely drive and park trucks in the yard to support loading and unloading operations.

  • Start and monitor refrigeration units to maintain proper product temperature.

  • Complete Smith Training Systems certification training.

  • Take temperatures of inbound product, record readings, and report any product that is out of specification.

  • Act as a yard jockey where applicable, including moving trucks in the yard, positioning trucks at docks, performing safety checks, securing trucks, and chocking wheels.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leads and supervisors.

Schedule

4-day work week. Weekends and holidays required. Start time is 6:30 AM until finish.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Good understanding of basic math skills.

  • Must be able to read and speak basic English.

  • Must be able to meet and maintain required productivity standards per hour.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Dependable work history and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, or food production experience.

  • Experience working in temperature-controlled environments.

  • Previous experience operating warehouse equipment or supporting yard operations.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs.

  • Ability to operate a 2- to 4-wheel handcart.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, turn, and reach for extended periods.

  • Must be able to reach overhead, at waist level, and from the floor.

  • Must be able to safely step in and out of and operate a company route truck in accordance with company practices and DOT regulations.

  • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 35ยฐF to 75ยฐF.

  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and support varying operational demands, including weekends and holidays.
