Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $19/hr.
Location:  Houston, TX 77028
Schedule: M-F 8am to 4:30pm
Job Requirements:

  • Extreme attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness is a must for this position.
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to accept responsibility for errors and work on improving.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to all tasks assigned.
  • Must be willing to communicate daily with a diverse team of supervisors and employees to ensure efficient operations.
  • Willingness to share input readily to improve our warehouse processes.
  • Math and computer skills at a high school level or higher.
  • Must be able to show up to work consistently and on time when scheduled.
  • Must be willing to make safety a first priority at all times including operating equipment such as a stretch wrapper, pallet jack, forklift, etc., in a safe manner and only with a valid license and proper inspection each time.
  • May be trained on additional clerical shipping duties; must have ability to learn basic computer software.

Job Duties:

  • Primary responsibilities may include one, all, or a combination of the following within a workday;
  • Loading trailers with truckload orders and warehouse transfers via a sit down or stand-up forklif
  • Picking up products on pallets and carefully placing them into racks up to 25 feet high without damaging the racking with sit down or stand up forklift.
  • Picking, preparing, and staging LTL & UPS orders in a timely manner.
  • Repackaging products; including but not limited to private labeling and stretch wrapping products; must correctly print labels and attach to products.
  • Will operate equipment such as a stretch wrapper, pallet jack, and forklifts, etc.
  • Responsible for finished good put away utilizing the FLOW/Trend system, forklift, or other pieces of equipment to ensure a safe put away.
  • And perform all other warehouse related duties assigned or directed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, 4 feet off the floor possibly 30-40 times per hour when working on a truckload
  • Manual dexterity required;
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hours plus per shift
  • Must be able to withstand working in a non-climate-controlled environment with high heat and cold temperatures as well as dust
