The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation,pricingand promotional signing processes for allGeneral Merchandise (GM)areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick,packand ship fulfillment work.

  • Retail business fundamentals,includingdepartment sales trends, inventory management, processefficiencyand improvement

  • Executingdaily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

As an Offsite Warehouse Driver, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day willmost likely includethe following responsibilities:

  • Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:

  • Greet:

  • 10ft: be friendly - smile, make eye contact, or wave

  • 4ft: greet the guest, smile andinitiatea warm, helpful interaction

  • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

  • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you

  • Actively support team efforts andassistpeers in other areas whilemaintaininga positive and respectful attitude

  • Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience

  • Responsible for the transportation, preparation,loadingand unloading ofproductto and from offsite in a safe and efficient manner. This includes being compliant with all relevant DOT regulations.

  • Complete all required paperwork from vehicle to the offsite such asBill of Ladingandthedriver vehicle inspection report.

  • Ensure the vehicle used for transportation to and from the offsite ismaintainedto ensure safe operation and follows designated routesestablishedbyStoreDirector for maximum efficiency.

  • Pullproduct,organize and store reserveproductcorrectlyto ensure backroomaccuracyismaintained.

  • Maintain productavailabilityon thesalesfloor.

  • If certified,operatepowered equipmentto move merchandiseas necessary at the offsite and the store backroom.

  • Safely and efficientlyoperatevehicle(s)while following established routines and policies, including not using anymobile devices while driving.

  • Understand andleverageappropriate escalationtools to solve process and/or guest issues; notify leader(s) as needed.

  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct,safetyand compliance.

  • Work in a safe mannerat all times;comply withall safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) andDriveup (DU) andmaintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and localadult beveragelaws.

  • All other dutiesbasedon business needs.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Mustpossessa valid driver's license

  • MustpossessClass 4 Driver's License (Hawaii only)

  • Mustpossessa medical examiner's certificate

  • Must pass required road test (if applicable for your state) conducted by the store

  • Understand and follow all traffic signs, directions, and signals

  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices andoperatehandheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

  • Work both independently and with a team

  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment andaccomplishmultiple tasks within establishedtimeframes

  • Complete all required training, certifications, and documentation provided by Target to ensure internal and federally mandated requirements are met

  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.

  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
