Job description

Heart of America Beverage is seeking energetic candidates to join our warehouse team as a night stager. If you enjoy a fast paced and dynamic environment, this job may be for you. The most fun part? We work hard and we have a lot of laughs along the way.  Pay range is from $15.00 to $22 depending on position.

Summary:

The warehouse associate is comprised of the many specific roles such as order fulfillment selector; receiver; replenisher, damage product repacker, stager, loader/check-in, inventory control clerk, and maintenance assistant.  Each of these positions have their own responsibilities but work as a team to ensure the warehouse runs successfully.  The warehouse associate will be required to use multiple types of loading equipment, including but not limited to, single sit-down forklift, double sit-down forklift, or ride-on pallet jack.  The warehouse associate must be able to assist in the various roles not just their assigned role.

Warehouse Primary Responsibilities:

  • Uses voice pick headsets and scanning equipment or pick to order load sheets to fulfill pre-sold orders.
  • Operates material handling equipment (forklift or ride-on/power pallet jack, or two-wheel dolly).
  • Processes orders including accurately picking, checking, sorting, consolidating product, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and shipment confirmation of customer orders.
  • Receives all trucks in a timely fashion according to Company receiving schedules.
  • Rotates all received product into the proper storage area utilizing the FIFO method.
  • Replenishes all pick bin locations as necessary as directed by the directed replenishment application in the Encompass WMS
  • Moves and re-slots pick bin locations only as directed by the Shift Supervisor or the Warehouse Manager.
  • Verify that the pick pallet has passed the weight QA and that the correct pallet tag has been applied.
  • Moved the picked pallet to the correct route staging lane and place the pallet in reverse delivery sequence.
  • Accurately count all returning products, to include dunnage, from the delivery route to reconcile the delivery load sheet and return the load sheet in the RAS so that it can be balanced.
  • As directed, loads orders on delivery trucks and trailers, verifying accuracy and completeness of all pallets according to the delivery manifest for each route.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Removes damaged product.
  • Assists in the repackaging of damaged product as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • 0-3 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required
  • This position requires the employee to be detail oriented, quality focused, able to take direction, be self-motivated, and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • The Warehouse Associate must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment; and the flexibility to work long hours beyond standard requirements as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch; lift above head; lift heavy items, up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally up to a 185-pound keg; frequently push/pull 250 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel dolly, product cart or other mobile equipment; tolerate going back and forth from hot to cold temperatures; and talk and hear.
  • The Warehouse Associate must be at least 18 years of age to work with alcohol.
