Job Summary:
As the Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for receiving, distributing, and tracking materials, tools, and equipment while supporting daily warehouse operations. You will coordinate inventory movement, maintain accurate records, and help ensure a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse and yard environment. As the Warehouse Associate, your customers are field operations teams, warehouse personnel, vendors, and internal departments, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and dependable service.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Receive materials, tools, and supplies and verify order contents for accuracy.
  • Track and maintain inventory using manual and computerized inventory systems.
  • Load, unload, move, and distribute equipment, materials, and supplies using forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard environment, including promptly addressing spills and other hazards.
  • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on warehouse and yard equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel and internal teams to support efficient daily operations and resolve inventory or operational issues.
  • Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Forklift certification required.
Experience
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
  • Experience using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and inventory software.
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, invoices, catalogs, reports, receipts, and other business documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with employees, vendors, supervisors, manufacturers, and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team while maintaining reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in telecommunications, utility, or construction warehouse operations.
  • Experience using inventory management or warehouse management software.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Forklift operation experience in an industrial or construction environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, and twist for extended periods.
  • Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to maintain visual and audible awareness of personnel, vehicles, and heavy equipment in active work environments.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety boots, safety glasses, hard hat, and other applicable PPE.
