Job description

Warehouse Associate (Night)

PURPOSE

Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., located in Central and Southwest VA, is a large beverage distribution company seeking a full-time WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (NIGHT).

The individual in this position will be responsible for safely picking, moving, and loading our beverage products onto our delivery trucks. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager (Night).

Job Type: Full-time, Nonexempt

DUTIES

  • Pick orders with accuracy and speed.
  • Replenish pick locations as needed.
  • Function in a fast-paced environment, as a member of a team and independently.
  • Build pallets that travel safely without damage.
  • Load delivery trucks and other vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean environment.
  • Adhere to strict safe working practices and company policies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Demonstrated experience using a forklift, or electric pallet jack experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The following list of physical requirements are required to perform the entire job: standing; walking; sitting; stooping; fine finger and hand manipulation; speaking clearly; hearing to be able to maintain conversation; seeing to be able to read and to drive a vehicle; and lifting, moving, and carrying 25-40 lbs. repetitively, and occasionally up to 170 lbs. when handling kegs. Must be able to bend, lift, carry, climb, stoop and stack product using a hand truck or electric pallet jack.
