Job description

About Smart Air Systems

At Smart Air Systems Inc., we're more than just HVAC contractors. Based in Deerfield Beach and serving South Florida for over 27 years, we specialize in large-scale commercial retrofit and upgrade projects. Our work includes complex mechanical systems in high-end, multi-tenant, and mission-critical facilities, and we take pride in delivering solutions that are smart, reliable, and done right the first time.

We're built by technicians for technicians. Our team is our greatest asset, and our culture is collaborative, supportive, and dedicated to craftsmanship. At Smart Air, you'll be part of a company that values your expertise, your growth, and the pride you take in your work.

Position Overview

The Commercial HVAC Warehouse Associate & Driver plays a key role in keeping projects moving smoothly. You'll be the link between our vendors, clients, and field teams, ensuring materials and equipment are organized, transported safely, and delivered on time. This role requires internal motivation, flexibility, and a team-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick up and deliver materials, equipment, and tools throughout the tri-county area.
  • Load, unload, and secure items safely on delivery trucks.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and safety, including tool tracking and inventory management.
  • Perform basic upkeep on small engines, equipment, and delivery trucks, ensuring all vehicles are kept clean, well-maintained, and "proudly presentable" at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate to find creative solutions and support team success.
Physical & Field Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work on jobsites for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday and navigate South Florida weather conditions.
Who You Are
  1. Be Proudly Recordable: You take ownership and do things right the first time, respecting the absent.
  2. Solve Collaboratively: Teamwork is natural—you support others and work toward solutions together.
  3. Have Grit: You persevere through challenges, continuously improve, and never cut corners.
  4. Show Empathy: You care about people—your team, customers, and community—and act with respect, understanding, and support in every interaction.
  5. Relationships Matter: You believe that people are more important than products, so you invest in authentic connections.
Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse or field experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or similar safety certification.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and 24ft flatbed trucks.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
  • Expected Hours: 40/week, with potential overtime.
  • After 90 days:Health Insurance: 70% reimbursement (up to $500/month)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Simple IRA with up to 3% employer match
  • Opportunities for growth, mentorship, and skill development.
  • Work with a team that celebrates craftsmanship, collaboration, and excellence.
Why Join Smart Air?
  • Be part of a company that values your expertise and respects your craft.
  • Work on high-impact commercial projects across South Florida.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team where teamwork, integrity, and accountability come first.
  • Enjoy growth opportunities, mentorship, and a culture built around people, not just projects.
