Job description

About the role:
The Warehouse Assembly Technician is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations and performing basic control panel assembly tasks for building automation systems. This role ensures the accurate handling, organization, and tracking of parts, supplies, and materials while assisting with the preparation and assembly of components used by field installation teams.
The technician will work in a small warehouse environment with one to two team members and must be able to work independently, follow established procedures, and maintain a high level of accuracy and organization. This position requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic control panel assembly tasks, including mounting components, labeling parts, cutting and prepping wire, and organizing panel interiors.
  • Assist with preparation of materials and component kits for field technicians and project teams.
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure materials are packaged, labeled, and documented correctly.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory of materials, tools, and warehouse stock.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
  • Stage, label, and organize materials for upcoming projects.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the warehouse area, including shelves, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting or inspection of control panel components before deployment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and hand tools safely and responsibly.
  • Support logistical tasks such as coordinating deliveries, unloading trucks, and preparing materials for pickup.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, assembly work, or related hands-on labor.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, or photos for simple assembly tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a small warehouse environment.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, labeling, and documentation.

Experience
• Performing hands-on tasks in warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, or logistics environments.
• Handling, tracking, and organizing physical inventory.
• Using hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively.
• Preparing shipments and receiving materials accurately.
• Working in small teams where reliability, communication, and multitasking are essential.
