Position Overview:

The Warehouse – Assembly & Maintenance Technician is a skilled, hands-on professional responsible for supporting both warehouse operations and facility and equipment maintenance. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, preserving product quality, and ensuring overall operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and perform routine and preventative maintenance (minor to moderate) on mechanical systems, warehouse equipment, and shop tools to reduce downtime and control costs (COGS)
  • Assemble, test, and repair products, utilizing past working knowledge of electrical systems, gas/valves, HVAC components, and basic plumbing
  • Read technical manuals, troubleshoot issues independently, and implement effective solutions
  • Assist with product setup and preparation for trade shows, including assembly and connections
  • Support warehouse operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Conduct regular inspections of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to ensure safe operation
  • Identify maintenance needs proactively and execute tasks without direct supervision
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and repair needs in a timely manner
  • Provide backup support for shipping and receiving functions as needed
  • Perform seasonal facility maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal (as applicable)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse maintenance, equipment repair, or a related mechanical role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC components, gas/valve systems, and basic plumbing
