The Winter Wander Team Member will serve in the roles of Show Operations, including ticketing attendant (being the first to greet the guest, scan their tickets and give them information on the Winter Wander experience), retail attendant (staffing retail locations throughout Winter Wander and assisting guests with their merchandise purchases), photography attendant(working with our photo booth and selling photos of guests with Santa), and Food & Beverage, including our food and beverage locations of The Wander Lounge, The Wander Outpost and Frost & Fire and the Boar's Head Food Truck, including runner (taking food and drinks to and from the kitchen to our three locations and emptying trash at the locations and around the trail) and staffing the food & beverage locations (taking the guests' orders, taking payment and preparing/giving the food/drinks to the guests). More on these roles and understanding the preferences of the applicant will be discussed in the interview process. In accepting this job, it is understood that the applicant would be working across different roles on different nights. While preferences will be discussed, the applicant should be willing to work any assigned role at the event.WORK ENVIRONMENTIndoor and outdoor events as part of Winter Wander at Boar's Head Resort and surrounding resort grounds.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Staff Winter Wander to support the show operations and food & beverage operations in the role(s) of ticketing, retail, photography attendant, bar staff, runner (including food, drinks and trash). This may be in a rotating basis or as decided upon discussion with the Director of Special Events. While preferences for job role each show night will be discussed during the interview, every team member is expected to be flexible to work the role needed each night. A schedule will be sent out for each show night, with team members assigned to roles. However, that is subject to change each night and each team member is expected to always do what is needed, including following any changes and directions from them supervisor, to ensure Winter Wander is the premiere light show experience in Virginia. Work in conjunction with all the team members in show operations the food & beverage teams at Winter Wander to provide a premiere guest experience. As a Forbes Recommended property, this includes meeting and exceeding the Forbes basic standards and Boar's Head Resort and Winter Wander CORE Standards. Be able to work nights and weekends, including holidaysAttend one of the following Winter Wander orientation dates: Thursday, November 5 6-8 p.m. OR Saturday, November 7 10 a.m. - noon. OR Monday, November 9 from 6-8 p.m. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential

Current high school or college student with interest in / studying in the fields of 

hospitality, events or a related field.

Industry Experience - Hospitality and/or Events

Experienced with online ticketing systems

Must have a valid Drivers' License or be able to have transportation to and from work

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word

Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary, including evenings, weekends and 

holidays
