Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary: The Senior Director, Security, leads the development and execution of comprehensive security strategies to mitigate risks and protect company assets globally. This role oversees insider threat programs, disaster response initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts while driving continuous improvement in security operations. Collaborating across multiple regions and stakeholders, the position ensures alignment with business objectives and legal standards. The Senior Director fosters a culture of integrity and accountability, promotes talent development, and leverages technology to enhance security capabilities, supporting the organization’s resilience and operational excellence.
  About the team: The team leads the development and execution of advanced global security technology strategies across Walmart’s enterprise. Focused on innovation, the group integrates innovative solutions such as AI-driven analytics, camera vision, and active threat detection to enhance safety and operational resilience. Collaborating across multiple markets, the team ensures scalable and effective security platforms that support stores, supply chains, and campuses worldwide. By driving continuous improvement and leveraging emerging technologies, the team strengthens situational awareness, reduces risks, and advances enterprise-wide security capabilities aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards.
  What you'll do:
  • Drive end-to-end strategy and operationalization of Walmart’s Global Security Technology and Innovation ecosystem.
  • Define scalable security technology architectures integrating camera vision, drones, AI analytics, and intelligent alerting platforms.
  • Drive innovation and deployment strategies for advanced retail security use cases including ORC detection, workplace violence prevention, perimeter monitoring, parking lot intelligence, and active threat response.
  • Partner closely with Global Tech, Asset Protection, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and enterprise stakeholders to align technology investments and deployment priorities.
  • Lead enterprise response coordination and operational improvement activities related to security technology incidents and system disruptions.
  • Represent global security technology strategy, innovation trends, and operational risk posture in executive leadership forums.
     
What you'll bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in security technology operations, enterprise technology, asset protection innovation, or related domains.
  • 5+ years leading senior leaders or large cross-functional global teams.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale deployments involving AI, computer vision, analytics, drones, IoT, or intelligent security technologies.
  • Strong understanding of retail security operations, threat detection methodologies, and operational technology ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience building scalable platforms, governance models, and vendor partnerships.
  • Strong executive communication, business case development, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience operating within large-scale, matrixed, or global enterprise environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
