BAE Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Specialist who will provide support to ensure classified technical library information is properly accounted for, classified, marked, transported, destroyed and protected from unauthorized disclosure. This employee will also coordinate with team members to accomplish assigned tasks in support of the activation, operations, maintenance and engineering of equipment, systems and computer programs for NAVSEA and PEO IWS missions and approved projects supported by SCSC.
Projects include AEGIS, AEGIS BMD, SSDS, and DDG 1000 program support, plus all necessary support services for approved program activities at Wallops Island. Support will also encompass the installation, activation and upgrade of current and future cruiser, destroyer, carrier, amphibious and ship modernization initiatives at the Navy Wallops Island, Virginia facility.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing technical information services
Acquiring library products; configuration change tracking
Maintain records from various online sources
Ability to perform specialized technical tasks to include creation and/or review of standard operating procedures, digitization of documents, searching online reference catalogs, database management, destruction, and transmittal of classified material.
Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified/proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
Implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
