Job description

Job Summary

Designer II is responsible for the accurate design of the roof and floor trusses, walls, and components for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing Mitek software
  • Optimize designs for maximum efficiency
  • Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
  • Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
  • Performs other duties as required


Qualifications

  • Minimum high school graduate
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in related field/responsibilities
  • Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred
  • Working knowledge of floor and rood systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars
