Job description

Hospice Volunteers Needed โ€” Bring Comfort, Presence, and Peace

Some moments in life are too important to face alone. Our hospice team walks alongside patients and families during the final chapterโ€”and weโ€™re looking for compassionate volunteers to join us.

What youโ€™ll do

  • Offer companionship: read aloud, share conversation, or simply sit in quiet presence.
  • Support families: give caregivers a short break, help with light errands, or write a note of encouragement.
  • Honor life stories: listen, record memories, or help organize photos and keepsakes.
  • Specialized options: music visits, veteran-to-veteran companionship, vigil sitting, or pet therapy (if certified).

What youโ€™ll receive

  • Thorough training on hospice philosophy, communication, boundaries, and self-care.
  • Ongoing support from our volunteer coordinator and interdisciplinary care team.
  • Flexible schedulingโ€”weekday, evening, or weekend visits near your home.
  • A meaningful way to serve your community with your whole heart.
