Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Team Coordinator assists the Warehouse Supervisor in the daily operation of a warehouse or logistics area, allowing the Supervisor to focus more on people leadership and less on daily transactional issues.
This role ensures smooth and continuous material flow to and from the warehouse, supports shipping and receiving accuracy, helps remove operational bottlenecks, and assists with inventory and system transactions as needed.
The Coordinator also helps drive Lean warehousing practices, monitors safety and 5S compliance, and communicates material or resource shortages to Supervisors or Managers to resolve quickly.
May be required to perform other reasonable warehousing duties as assigned.

Primarily conducts Team Coordinator duties in assigned warehouse areas (Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, or Staging) and may be cross utilized across other Vertiv facilities as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supports daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, staging, and material replenishment.
    Identifies and helps resolve bottlenecks in material flow or dock operations.
    Ensures accurate Oracle/IFS transactions and supports timely system updates.
    Trains and fills in for material handlers or clerks as required to maintain throughput.
    Monitors inventory accuracy, supports cycle counts, and assists with reconciliation.
    Escalates issues related to delays, damages, shortages, or non-conformances.
    Assists in maintaining safety standards, dock cleanliness, and 5S discipline.
    Partners with Supervisors and Managers to drive continuous improvement and Lean warehousing initiatives.
    Completes work order Picking and ensuring operation schedule demand is fulfilled.
    Communicates effectively with operations, materials management, and logistics teams to ensure alignment.

Minimum Qualifications:
    High School diploma or GED.
    4+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials handling.
    Strong understanding of inventory movement, shipping documentation, and ERP transactions.

Preferred Qualifications:
    Prior lead or coordinator experience in warehouse or logistics environment.
    Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
    Familiarity with Oracle, IFS, or other warehouse management systems.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
    High School diploma or GED.
    4+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials handling.
    Strong understanding of inventory movement, shipping documentation, and ERP transactions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and between 50-100 pounds with assistance.
    Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and other material-handling equipment.
    Must be able to stand, walk, and work on concrete floors for extended periods.
    Ability to effectively direct team members, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts.
    Willingness to work extended hours or alternate shifts as needed to support operations.
