Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associate - Technical Operations to support a large-scale data center operations and logistics team in New Carlisle, IN. This 5-month contract role is ideal for a motivated and dependable professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is interested in supporting cutting-edge infrastructure. The Logistics Associate will play a key role in inventory management, material handling, and supporting critical operations tied to advanced technology deployments.
This position offers a unique compressed schedule with rotating shifts, providing extended time off while supporting 24/7 operations.
Schedule:
• Day Shift: 5:45 AM - 6:15 PM
• Night Shift: 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM
• Rotating Schedule: 3 days on / 4 days off, then 4 days on / 3 days off
• Training: 1-2 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Description:
Inventory & Material Handling (60%)
• Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, including high-value components
• Accurately log inventory into internal systems and maintain precise records
• Stage and organize materials for use by data center technicians and engineers
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure availability of parts to support operations
• Transport materials between locations as needed
Operations Support & Coordination (25%)
• Partner with data center operations, engineering teams, and third-party vendors
• Support installation activities during downtime by assisting operations teams
• Coordinate with delivery partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material flow
• Maintain communication with cross-functional teams to support daily operational needs
Workplace Organization, Safety & Compliance (15%)
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of warehouse and workspaces
• Follow all safety protocols and properly utilize provided PPE
• Adhere to operational procedures and maintain high standards of workplace safety
• Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence
Must Have Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to lift up to 49 lbs independently and participate in team lifts for heavier items
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Must be at least 18 years old
Nice to Have Qualifications:
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Understanding of inventory control or reverse logistics processes
• Experience working in warehouse or data center environments
