Job Description

Under general supervision, is responsible for picking orders, palletizing, loading and unloading products and/or cases, and working any station or line that is assigned. Employee works anywhere in the Load-out/Warehouse/Cooler areas that may be assigned.

• Responsible for pulling, staging, loading and unloading products for customer orders.

• Safe operation of a Forklift and/or Pallet Jack.

• Perform pre-load trailer inspections, document findings.

• Proper use of hand-held tracking/scanning devices.

• Mark the paperwork properly when making any order or shipment adjustments

. • Keep accurate records on load sheets, inventory sheets, scrap sheets, and computerized equipment. • Ensure proper code date rotation.

• Proper operation of stretch wrapping equipment. • Reports any product/packaging quality issues.

• Perform product rework, re-package/re-case products as applicable.• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities on improving processes.• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.• The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company, follow safety procedures, policies and safe practices.• Must be able to complete and pass the lift truck operation certification.• Learn and adhere to safety and security policies and procedures.• Follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and report any deficiencies.• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.• Minimum of (2)-two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing experience preferred. Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required.

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

• Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull a majority of the day. Must be able to lift up to 50-pounds frequently without assistance and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high.

• Must be able to work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit. • Overtime and working on holidays is often required.• Effective verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.• Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug, alcohol and background checks (including criminal).• Must possess a strong work character and have the ability to work in a team environment.• Must possess a strong work ethic and passion for the job.• Ability to multi-task and follow instructions.• Must be self-motivated and self-directed to support complex operations.
