Job description

Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare is currently seeking a PRN Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. This position will support diagnostic imaging services at our West Raleigh or Cary locations.
Position Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality nuclear medicine exams in a safe and patient-focused environment. The role includes preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, acquiring and processing images, and supporting diagnostic interpretation by radiologists.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine exams following physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications.
Establish and manage intravenous lines as needed.
Acquire quality diagnostic images and process data accurately.
Maintain detailed documentation of patient and exam information.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures.
Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and staff as part of the imaging team.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field and completion of a Nuclear Medicine program.
Current certification with NMTCB or registration with ARRT (N) in Nuclear Medicine.
BLS certification (required).
Proficiency with nuclear medicine equipment and related software systems.
Prior experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
