Position Summary

EcoWater SoCal is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead, coach, and grow our residential water treatment sales organization. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, recruiting and developing top talent, improving close rates, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

The Sales Manager will provide direct leadership to both experienced and developing sales professionals while overseeing the sales dispatch function that supports lead management and appointment scheduling. The ideal candidate is a highly effective communicator with strong emotional intelligence, a proven track record of sales leadership, and the ability to build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Performance

Lead and manage a team of in-home water treatment sales consultants.

Establish and communicate clear sales goals, expectations, and performance metrics.

Monitor sales performance, close rates, revenue production, and key KPIs.

Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, ride-alongs, and performance reviews.

Hold team members accountable to company standards and sales objectives.

Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Third-Party Sales Support

Provide real-time sales support to field representatives when needed.

Assist sales professionals with complex presentations, financing discussions, objection handling, and closing opportunities while they are in the customer's home.

Serve as a trusted resource for salespeople seeking guidance on challenging situations.

Help maximize conversion rates through coaching, support, and direct involvement in the sales process when appropriate.

Recruiting, Hiring & Training

Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop high-performing sales professionals.

Create and maintain structured training programs for new and existing sales staff.

Provide ongoing coaching in consultative selling, product knowledge, communication skills, and closing techniques.

Build a strong sales culture focused on integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Develop career paths and succession plans for top performers.


Sales Dispatch Management:

Recruit, hire, train, and manage sales dispatchers responsible for lead management and appointment scheduling.

Ensure leads are distributed effectively and efficiently.

Monitor appointment-setting performance and lead conversion metrics.

Collaborate with dispatch personnel to optimize routing, scheduling, and overall sales productivity.

Establish processes and accountability measures to maximize lead utilization.

Customer Experience

Ensure every customer receives a professional, consultative, and exceptional buying experience.

Assist in resolving escalated customer concerns and sales-related issues.

Promote EcoWater SoCal's commitment to honesty, transparency, and long-term customer relationships.

Operational Excellence

Collaborate with installation, service, marketing, and administrative teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM data.

Participate in strategic planning and management meetings.

Support company growth initiatives and expansion efforts.


Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in water treatment, home improvement, HVAC, solar, roofing, or other in-home consultative sales environments.

Minimum 3 years of sales management experience with responsibility for recruiting, training, coaching, and performance management.

Demonstrated success leading both experienced sales professionals and new sales representatives.

Strong understanding of in-home sales processes and consultative selling methodologies.

Proven ability to improve sales performance through coaching, accountability, and leadership.

Experience managing lead flow, appointment-setting teams, or dispatch functions.

Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel between company locations and customer appointments as needed.
