On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Web Applications Developer for a contract opportunity in Folsom, CA.

We are looking for an experienced Web Application Developer who will support the IT PCP Service enhancement requests in the IT Service Management tool - Service Now. High level responsibilities include assessing the business need and crafting robust and scalable application architecture and design, Experience with design patterns along with working knowledge of Windows is essential. The Developer should also have a strong knowledge of DBMS concepts from an application development perspective and experience in working with relational databases including SQL development skills.


Web Applications Developer Mandatory Skills


-Knowledge of Unit Testing


-Selenium /Fitnesse


-Must work within the existing IT Service Management tool architecture and structure adhering to the existing processes while providing guidance to the PCP team on the best solution for the issue being presented within the existing structure


-The successful candidate must be able to work in a global team environment


-Individual Possesses excellent communication skills, the drive to succeed and work independently and on a team, with the ability to multi task, and deliver quality results


-Experience developing highly interactive Web applications with JavaScript


-Excellent object-oriented JavaScript skills; experience with YUI3 or any other JavaScript framework such as Angular, Knockout, Backbone, or Jquery


-Experience of modern web development toolkits and libraries such as Backbone, Underscore, Angular, Ember, JQuery, etc...


-Experience of agile development processes an advantage


-BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent required


-5-7 years of industry experience in software development and writing solutions using Java technology skills and experience in a web-based application development environment


-Exceptional HTML and CSS


-Experience of developing with RESTful JSON API's


-XML experience - practical knowledge of working within a continuous build environment


-Experience of agile development processes is an advantage.
