Job description

Job Title: Senior Middleware & Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud Operations)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly technical Systems Administrator III to drive the deployment, security, and optimization of our enterprise middleware and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be the technical authority responsible for the release of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration between API platforms and native cloud services. You will utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to automate deployments and manage multi-environment stability. This is a mission-critical position that combines high-level system design with hands-on operational support, ensuring a secure and scalable environment for our digital services.
Key Responsibilities
Middleware Engineering & Operations
• Platform Administration: Install, configure, and maintain the MuleSoft runtime environment. Perform deep-level system troubleshooting and integration testing for server operating systems and related utilities.
• Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize AWS Native services, including EC2, S3, and AWS API Gateway, to ensure high-availability and performance.
• Middleware Support: Act as the primary technical contact for middleware system administration, providing expert-level operations support for API-led connectivity.
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
• Terraform Management: Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform to manage and scale cloud resources efficiently.
• Environment Governance: Maintain and manage complex multi-environment configurations (Dev, QA, Production) to ensure consistency and reliability across the delivery lifecycle.
Security & Performance
• System Hardening: Configure and manage AWS Security Groups and lead vulnerability remediation efforts to maintain a secure systems environment.
• Vigilance: Perform root-cause analysis for server and messaging service disruptions, implementing long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Scalability: Research and recommend software/hardware enhancements and provide hardware specifications based on anticipated application growth.
Change Management & Execution
• Production Deployment: Lead production change execution and coordinate complex deployments across the enterprise.
• Infrastructure Support: Maintain the core server infrastructure and provide 24/7 troubleshooting for production systems as required by business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Technical Mastery:
oProven experience in MuleSoft runtime administration and troubleshooting.
oHands-on expertise with AWS Native technologies (EC2, S3, API Gateway).
oStrong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code management.
• Professional Experience:
o5+ years of experience in system administration, specifically within API middleware and cloud environments.
oDemonstrated success in infrastructure automation and vulnerability remediation.
• Soft Skills:
oStrong organizational skills for change coordination and deployment management.
oAbility to translate complex technical application needs into hardware/software specifications.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
