Job description

We're always on the lookout for experienced and passionate vulnerability researchers to join our team. If you have a background in offensive security and think collaborating on high-impact challenges with some of the best in the industry sounds like fun, we'd love to hear from you. No formal education or certifications required.
The team:
Vulnerability Research and Exploit Development (VRED) take curiosity, perseverance and exceptional teamwork. You'll join one of our established platform teams to focus on your preferred target set, backed globally by the entire VRED team. Our platform teams include Android, iOS, Browsers, Hypervisors and Embedded Systems.
The role:
  • You will conduct vulnerability research using a range of approaches and techniques.

  • You will develop proof-of-concept exploits for vulnerabilities found, which includes bypassing modern exploit mitigations.

  • Our researchers know and learn what they need for their work. You will have access to the tools and infrastructure you need to do your best.

  • You will contribute to a collaborative and supportive culture, sharing knowledge and findings with others in a helpful and accessible way.

  • You will have the opportunity to participate in and run workshops and other team activities.

  • You will have access to training and conferences to help grow and hone your skillsets.

The ideal candidate:
  • Experience in one or more of vulnerability research, reverse engineering and exploit development.

  • Can personally reason through complex topics to decide on approach, find impactful vulnerabilities, analyse their root causes and develop proof-of-concepts.

  • Interested in and passionate about learning new things, taking things apart, and get stuck into new problems and challenges.

  • Able to work both independently and highly collaboratively.

  • A permanent resident and currently based in the USA.

Salary:
Packages are competitive and differ according to researcher experience. Full details can be discussed upon an invitation to interview.
Perks and benefits:
  • 25 days paid vacation + federal holidays

  • Annual bonus based on company targets

  • Matched 401k scheme up to 4%

  • Healthcare, dental and vision cover

  • Training and conference budgets

  • Employee assistance program

  • Company socials throughout the year

The location:
This is a remote role. The team meets up in-person for workshops, conferences, and socials, so occasional travel will be required.
Interrupt Labs is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
We aim to respond to all candidates via email within two weeks of their application. Please note that emails may go to your spam or junk folder.
