What You'll Be Doing
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize advanced security technologies, including Palo Alto firewalls, IPS, SIEM (QRadar), endpoint protection, and DLP platforms.
  • Lead the development and implementation of security controls, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and security policies to support a strong security posture and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform incident response, malware analysis, threat investigations, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Administer and optimize security tools such as Trellix ePO to ensure effective protection and operational readiness.
  • Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, including configuration, administration, policy development, and tuning.
  • Conduct penetration testing activities, document findings, and present actionable recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for security tools, processes, and infrastructure, providing guidance and training across the organization.
  • Lead security modernization initiatives, including migrations from Trellix to CrowdStrike and QRadar to Elastic.

What You'll Need
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, Cybersecurity Operations, or Security Engineering, including experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
  • Proficiency in at least 2 scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Working knowledge of Linux environments, with SELinux experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as QRadar, Palo Alto Firewalls, Trellix ePO, CrowdStrike, Elastic, IPS, and DLP solutions.
  • Current DoD IAT Level II certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • Familiarity with CMMC Level 2 controls, RMF, DISA STIGs, and broader DoD security requirements.
  • Strong understanding of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity operations.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to create and review detailed technical documentation and SOPs.
