Job Description: Vulnerability & Production Operations Specialist

Job Type: Contract

Work Mode: Remote

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated professional to join our team, with responsibilities split evenly between Vulnerability Management & Continuous Monitoring (50%) and Production Operations (50%). The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in cloud security, automation, and operational excellence, with prior experience using Wiz and strong knowledge of AWS cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Vulnerability Management & Continuous Monitoring (50%)

  • Identify, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities across both FedRAMP and commercial environments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive the Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) program, including reporting, POA&M tracking, and artifact development.
  • Independently engage with stakeholders to review Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), document deviation requests, file exceptions, and prepare Annual Authorization reports.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to streamline POA&M processes.

Production Operations (50%)

  • Monitor and summarize PagerDuty alerts, production incidents, and related RCA (Root Cause Analysis) findings; prepare weekly operational reports.
  • Ensure timely resolution of production incidents and closure of RCA improvement actions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance monitoring, reduce alert noise, and automate repetitive operational tasks.
  • Correlate production alerts with customer support cases to evaluate monitoring effectiveness and collaborate with TechOps for improvements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Wiz OR similar tools for vulnerability management.
  • Strong background in AWS cloud and cloud security.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively seeking assistance or additional responsibilities when needed.
  • Experience in automation for operational and security processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
