Job description

The Sr Director, Sales leads and inspires a high-performing team of Sales Managers and Sales Representatives in the Optical Lens industry. This position utilizes Salesforce CRM, drives revenue growth, and has a strong understanding of selling to both doctors and labs.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Managers and Sales Representatives to exceed sales targets.

Build and maintain a high-performance culture focused on accountability, clear expectations, and continuous improvement.

Oversee territory management and ensure optimal coverage and resource allocation.

Define and communicate clear performance expectations and KPIs across the sales organization.

Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and drive data-informed decisions.

Use data to inform segmentation strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share and grow revenue.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers including optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and lab partners.

Understand and anticipate customer needs, delivering tailored solutions and exceptional service.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Operations to align sales strategies with business goals.

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 3 additional years of experience related to functional area

Minimum of 6 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports

Progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the optical or healthcare industry.

Demonstrated success in growing revenue and leading high-performing sales teams.

Expertise in Salesforce CRM and leveraging data for performance management.

Strong understanding of the optical lens market, including sales to doctors and labs.

Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a bias for action.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $126,000.00 - $191,625.00
