Axis Eye Optometric Group is looking for a full-time Optometrist to join its collaborative team in Elk Grove, California, located in the greater Sacramento area. What you’ll do:

As a full-time Optometrist, you’ll provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages in a high-end boutique clinic setting, performing eye exams, diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease, prescribing and dispensing corrective lenses, managing eye emergencies, and educating patients on healthy vision practices. Supported by a cross-trained team, you’ll use advanced diagnostic technology, including digital retinal imaging, to deliver a seamless patient experience throughout each encounter. This role includes approximately eight hours of patient care daily, with an expected patient volume of about 16 to 18 patients per day, and offers competitive pay, benefits, paid time off, a continuing education allowance, and production bonus potential.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
