VR TEACHER

Pre-ETS Team- IEP and 504 Students

Position Offer

Travel Required (servicing assigned campuses)

Position Description

The VR Teacher is responsible for delivering Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to students with IEPs and 504 plans across assigned campuses. The primary function of this role is to facilitate Self-Advocacy 1–3 curriculum, support development and implementation of individualized Work Plans, and assist with Work-Based Learning Experiences (WBLE) as needed.

This position requires regular travel to assigned school sites and collaboration with campus leadership, academic teams, and VR case managers. The VR Teacher supports students in developing self-determination, career readiness, and workplace readiness skills aligned with state and vocational rehabilitation requirements.

Before Shift Begins

☐ Sign in to time and attendance platform

☐ Review scheduled campus assignments and student caseload

☐ Prepare Self-Advocacy 1–3 instructional materials

☐ Review individual student Work Plans

☐ Coordinate with campus administration regarding scheduled sessions

During Shift

☐ Facilitate Self-Advocacy 1–3 curriculum sessions

☐ Guide students in developing and updating individualized Work Plans

☐ Document student participation and progress in required tracking systems

☐ Communicate with VR counselors and campus leadership as needed

☐ Assist with coordination and support of Work-Based Learning Experiences (WBLE) when applicable

☐ Support students in understanding workplace expectations, accommodations, and self-disclosure strategies

☐ Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided

After Shift Ends

☐ Submit required session documentation and service logs

☐ Update Work Plans as needed

☐ Communicate follow-ups or concerns to appropriate staff

☐ Prepare materials for upcoming campus visits

Additional Duties

☐ Travel to assigned campuses as scheduled

☐ Participate in Pre-ETS team meetings

☐ Maintain compliance with VR documentation and reporting requirements

☐ Collaborate with school staff to ensure student alignment with IEP/504 goals

☐ Support WBLE placements and follow-up when assigned

☐ Respond to email and communication in a timely manner

☐ Maintain confidentiality of all student records
