Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales - Agriculture for the Alberta and Saskatchewan regions, reporting to our Regina location. The VP of Sales is accountable for sales performance, market share growth and aligning sales objectives with Brandt’s business strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales growth and profitability throughout the assigned Territory
  • Achieving asset management goals of turn and aging as well as protection of company assets. Included but not limited to new and used Wholegoods inventory
  • Providing assistance in and guidance for forecasting the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals in the assigned Territory
  • Provide continuous input on the development of standard agricultural specifications and encourage the selling standards
  • Assist in the management and development of all sales employees with the goal of building a motivated and successful workforce focused on long term success for the company and customers
  • Achieving Market Share goals as agreed for the long-term success of our manufacturers and Brandt
  • Provide feedback and input into future opportunities and competitive pressures
  • Assists in compiling and utilize Transaction Pricing information to maximize market based pricing to increase margins in all equipment groups
  • Leveraging Transaction pricing to maintain a competitive position in the market through informing the manufacturer of trends and changes
  • Facilitate and promote corporate sales strategy and initiatives through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the Directors of Sales and Corporate Product Managers assigned to the region
  • Achieving the financial sales performance targets as set out in the Company Budget
  • Recruitment, training, development, and management of direct and non-direct reports
  • Provide input on advertising, promotion and marketing in connection with Brandt sales
  • Assist with negotiation of sales contracts with customers
  • Directly assist in improving sales opportunities with customers
  • Establish and maintain good public relations with communities, civic, political and industry personnel
  • Achieve and promote customer satisfaction throughout the Sales process
  • Attendance at Industry events, active participation and promotion of all Divisions of Brandt
  • Other duties as are normally and customarily assigned by senior management
  • Ongoing presence at all physical operating locations within the prescribed AOR of Brandt is critical. Minimum of 100 days must be spent traveling throughout the operating locations
  • Continuous ongoing communication and contact with the Sr. VP of Sales on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

  • A recent drivers abstract will be required

Required Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related industry, accompanied with a minimum of 5 years in management or business operations
  • Degree or diploma with business focus considered an asset, but not mandatory
