Overview

The VP of Total Rewards and HRIS is a strategic HR executive responsible for leading the organization's compensation, benefits, leave, and HR technology functions. This role develops and oversees total rewards programs that support business objectives, attract and retain talent, and ensure regulatory compliance. The position provides strategic direction for HRIS operations and technology initiatives while promoting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The VP partners closely with senior leadership to deliver competitive, effective, and scalable total rewards and HR technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the organization's total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, leave programs, and HR technology initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on compensation, benefits, workforce planning, and HRIS matters.
  • Oversee executive compensation, incentive programs, salary structures, job architecture, and market benchmarking activities.
  • Lead benefits strategy and administration, including health and welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave programs.
  • Provide governance and oversight of HRIS platforms, technology enhancements, data integrity, compliance, and system transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred with focus in human resources, compensation and/or benefits.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in human resources with at least five years leading and managing Benefits and Compensation administration.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a senior management capacity.
  • Experience leading and managing total rewards in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Experience with a distributed workforce and labor unions is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or similar credentials a plus.
