Position Summary

The Vice President, Statistics will lead the Statistics function for the 12th District, providing strategic direction and operational oversight for multiple financial reporting and structure teams and the 12th District Regulatory Reporting Review program. This senior leadership role is responsible for the collection, analysis, and provisioning of financial and organizational structure data for 12th District institutions, while ensuring alignment with System-wide strategies and modernization objectives. As a key member of the 12th District Statistics + Reserves Officer team, this individual will drive innovation, foster collaboration, and contribute to the development of strategic initiatives that advance the national Statistics business lineโ€™s mission and the Statistics + Reserves Groupโ€™s objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership and Business Area Oversight Provide strategic leadership and long-term direction for the 12th District Statistics function, setting priorities and outcomes that support and align with System-wide strategies and objectives; ensure all Statistics work is carried out effectively in alignment with national Statistics business line priorities and objectives
  • Collaborate with the Statistics + Reserves Officer team to develop and implement overall Group strategy, ensuring alignment with Group, Bank, and System strategies
  • Actively represent the 12th District in Statistics; participate in and lead key System workgroups and initiatives; provide extensive support to the System and contribute thought leadership and expertise
  • Collaborate with key business partners, including 12th District Supervision to support the review of regulatory reporting functions at 12th District financial institutions through the Regulatory Reporting Review program and Statistics technology partners in support of System business line priorities
  • Maintain working knowledge of emerging issues, trends, and ongoing developments in financial reporting, structure reporting, and applicable technologies
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement Champion experimentation and innovation within the team, Group, and System, including new approaches to data analysis, presentation, and work execution Act as a change manager to continuously improve processes and outcomes and adapt operations to changing business line objectives and priorities as needed
  • Talent Management & Development Coach and mentor team members to ensure strong performance and System contributions Cultivate and provide an environment that supports employee engagement, collaborative culture, employee enablement, and continuous development Participate in workforce planning efforts and prioritization of resources across the Statistics + Reserves Group
Typical Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, supervision, operations, or related field
  • 12+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience managing large, complex teams, including managing managers and matrixed teams
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and execution in a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and presentation skills to all audience levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, balance competing priorities, and drive innovation
  • Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external partners
  • Must be able to work on site full time at our San Francisco location.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Master's degree or higher in relevant field
  • Knowledge of and experience with data modernization initiatives and emerging technologies
  • Experience with System-wide collaborative initiatives and working groups

Base Salary Range

Base Salary Range: Min: $255,000 - Mid: $330,000 - Max: $406,000 (Location: San Francisco) Final salary and offer will bedeterminedby the applicantโ€™s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
