Job description

Job Summary

Position: Software Engineer — Systems Integration (C#/.NET)
Location: Greater Toronto Area (Vaughan/Bolton ON) — hybrid
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000
Company: Elevate Service Group — Reports to the VP, Systems & Data

ABOUT US

Elevate Service Group (TSXV: SERV) is a Canadian facilities-management and essential commercial services company. We are a growing group of specialized operating businesses that serve commercial customers across Canada. Our technology team supports the systems, applications, integrations, and data capabilities used across the organization, helping our businesses operate reliably and scale effectively.

THE ROLE

You'll build and maintain the C#/.NET services that connect Elevate's core systems — field service, payroll, accounts receivable, and reporting — ensuring data moves reliably between them. This is primarily a software engineering role: you'll take functional and technical specifications and independently design, build, test, and deploy production-ready solutions. Some of this work touches our Microsoft Dynamics NAV codebase, and you'll develop and extend NAV customizations as needed, but the emphasis is on your C#, integration, and API development skills. As Elevate consolidates additional operating businesses onto shared systems, you'll play a key role in extending and modernizing the integration layer that supports them. You'll work directly with the VP of Systems & Data.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop and maintain C# applications and integration services on .NET Framework 4.8, including the FSM-to-NAV interface set (~50 XML integrations) and the FSM-to-ADP payroll interface, using XML, web services, and APIs.

  • Own integration and development tasks end-to-end — from functional requirement through build, test, and deployment — working independently with minimal oversight.

  • Develop and maintain customizations and extensions in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (C/AL and AL) that support Elevate operating businesses using the shared platform.

  • Support the ongoing C/AL-to-AL code conversion — refactoring legacy C/AL into modern AL extensions.

  • Translate functional and technical designs into production code, and take features through build, test, and deployment.

  • Support data conversion, integration, and onboarding as Elevate operating companies migrate onto common platforms and processes.

  • Contribute to the SQL data warehouse and Power BI reporting layer as needed.

  • Diagnose and resolve development-level defects escalated from application support across the shared platform.

  • Follow source control, documentation, and release discipline so the codebase stays maintainable.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Strong C# development experience, with a track record of independently designing, building, and shipping applications and services.

  • Strong integration development experience — REST/SOAP APIs, web services, XML, OData/JSON.

  • Strong SQL Server skills (T-SQL: queries, stored procedures, performance basics).

  • A track record of turning functional and technical specifications into reliable, production-ready code with minimal supervision.

  • Solid testing and debugging discipline — you're comfortable owning a feature end to end.

NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience developing on Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central (C/AL and/or AL).

  • Direct experience with C/AL-to-AL conversion or NAV/BC extension development.

  • Familiarity with field service platforms (IFS FSM/PSO), ADP, or VersaPay integrations.

  • Power BI or data warehouse development experience.

  • Experience in a multi-entity or M&A / roll-up environment where systems are being consolidated onto shared platforms.
