Job Summary

The VP, Commercial Finance is responsible for leading the financial, operational, and governance functions that support Horizon's commercial investment initiatives. This role oversees forecasting, revenue pacing, investment tracking, commercial risk management, and operational process development to ensure scalable, compliant, and financially sound execution across all commercial initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in financial planning, commercial operations, risk management, and process optimization within a complex media or agency environment. This individual will lead the development and management of financial tracking frameworks, allocation models, forecasting tools, reporting structures, and governance processes that support revenue realization, investment accountability, and long-term commercial growth. Working closely with Investment, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams, the VP will play a critical role in partner agreements, overseeing contract and reconciliation processes, supporting billing and Prisma workflows, and ensuring compliance with internal governance and financial requirements. This role will also drive process standardization, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiencies across commercial operations functions while helping mitigate risk and optimize business performance.

What You'll Do

Finance

  • Leading financial forecasting, pacing, and revenue tracking for MX/commercial partnerships

  • Managing commercial risk assessment and mitigation strategies across partner agreements and client activity

  • Overseeing upfront investment management, tracking commitments, utilization, and financial exposure

  • Developing and maintaining allocation trackers and commercial opportunity management processes

  • Implementing and improving financial, operational, and workflow processes to support scalable growth

  • Ensuring compliance with internal governance, legal, financial, and operational requirements

  • Acting as a lead partner with Legal on contract reviews, redlines, negotiations, and commercial terms management

  • Managing partner tracking and reconciliation against internal commitments, delivery, and revenue expectations

  • Overseeing financial reconciliation processes, including SSP and commercial revenue models

  • Supporting Prisma process, billing workflows, reconciliation, and operational process management

  • Building operational frameworks, reporting structures, and governance models to support commercialization efforts

  • Working cross-functionally with Investment, Operations, Finance, Legal, to ensure smooth execution of MX initiatives

  • Driving process standardization, documentation, and reporting accuracy across MX/commercial operations functions

Operations

  • Ensure operational excellence, including process optimization and workflow efficiencies.

  • Act as a bridge with U.S. leadership to drive consistency, alignment, and knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and legal teams to support scalable product adoption

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and operational integration across teams.

Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision making.

  • Champion cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment across the organization.

  • Share feedback and recommendations with leadership on integration progress, team structure, and operational effectiveness.

  • Mentor team members by developing processes and aligning work to broader agency objectives.

  • Lead performance reviews where applicable and partner with executive leadership on staffing, organizational planning, and compensation discussions.
