Vice President of Water & WastewaterOverview

The Vice President of Water & Wastewater is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding the planning, design, and execution of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including collection systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. This individual will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and partners. The role also plays a key part in strategic planning, business development, and mentoring within the water resources group.

Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership for major water and wastewater projects—from studies and preliminary reports to design, bidding, and construction services.
  • Oversee the technical quality and regulatory compliance of all engineering deliverables.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record, certifying plans and documentation as required.
  • Act as the primary client liaison, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships throughout project lifecycles.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure necessary project permits and approvals.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and project managers, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Drive business development initiatives, including proposal writing, client presentations, and strategic growth planning for the water resources division.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) 15+ years of progressive experience in water resources engineering, including team leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in water and wastewater design.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local water and wastewater regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in project execution, client engagement, and business development.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
